Steps to add or modify themes:
1. Log in to your WordPress Dashboard: Access your WordPress admin panel by going to https://localhost/wordpress
2. Navigate to the Themes Section:
- Go to
Appearance > Themesin the WordPress admin menu.
To Add a New Theme:
3. Click on “Add New”:
- On the Themes page, you’ll see an “Add New” button at the top. Click on it.
4. Browse and Install:
- Browse through the available themes or use the search bar to find a specific one.
- Click on the theme you want to install.
- Click the “Install” button.
5. Activate the Theme:
- Once the theme is installed, you’ll see an “Activate” button. Click on it to make the theme active on your website.
To Modify an Existing Theme:
6. Click on “Customize”:
- On the Themes page, you’ll see a list of installed themes. Find the one you want to modify and click on the “Customize” button.
7. Make Changes in the Customizer:
- The WordPress Customizer will open, providing you with various options to modify your theme. These options may include Site Identity, Colors, Fonts, Layout, and more.
- Explore each section to make changes to your theme’s appearance.
- Use the “Publish” button to save your changes.
8. delete theme:
- go to appearance/themes
- click on installed themes
- change the current theme by activating another theme by clicking on theme details.
- select the theme to delete, click on its theme details
- click on delete.
