Configuring the homepage settings in WordPress

1. Log in to your WordPress Dashboard:

   • Access your WordPress admin panel by navigating to http://yourdomain.com/wp-admin and log in.

2. Navigate to the Homepage Settings:

   • Go to Settings > Reading in the WordPress admin menu.

3. Choose a Homepage Display Option:

   • In the “Your homepage displays” section, you’ll find two options:
     • Your latest posts: This is the default option and displays your most recent blog posts on the homepage.
     • A static page: Choose this option if you want to set a specific page as your homepage. Select the desired page from the drop-down menu.

4. Configure Blog Page (if applicable):

   • If you selected “A static page,” you’ll need to choose a page for your blog posts. Select an existing page from the drop-down menu.

5. Save Changes:

   • Click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page to update your homepage settings.

• Site Title and Tagline:

  • These settings allow you to define the site title (the name of your website) and a tagline (a brief description).

• Posts Page:

  • If you have a separate page for your blog posts, set it here.

• Search Engine Visibility:

  • There’s an optional setting labeled “Search Engine Visibility.” If you want search engines to index your site, ensure this box is unchecked. If checked, it discourages search engines from indexing your site.
